FROM DARK ATRIUM TO THE HEART OF MUSKINGUM ATHLETICS

MUSKINGUM UNIVERSITY (OH) ATHLETICS

Muskingum University’s atrium hadn’t been updated in decades. Dated trophy cases, dark brick, and old branding filled the space.

With recent branding updates, Muskingum took the next step and went big.

A 6’ tall, 2-panel primary logo was installed nearly 20’ in the air, set off the wall with 2” spacers to create depth against a black brick wrap applied using a heat-and-roll method. The Muskie doesn’t just sit on the wall—it pops.

The surrounding space was reworked into a cohesive system. A previously generic center wall now features a custom background built around Ohio’s highway system and elements tied directly to Muskingum’s identity.

Aged brown commercial doors were transformed into branded moments, reinforcing the athletic department’s core philosophies throughout the space.

To finish the space, a Hall of Fame system was installed with long-term use in mind—designed for affordable annual updates. LED downlighting highlights the display, while a touchscreen system allows visitors to explore honoree bios. Standoff panels and acrylic headlines give former athletes the presence and recognition they’ve earned.
